As a result, the Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA) was signed into law in 2016 to protect people’s ability to share their honest opinions about a business’s products, services, or conduct, in any forum, including social media. A violation of the CRFA is considered as an unfair or deceptive act or practice.
