The Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general have the authority to enforce the CRFA. However, it’s unlikely that a consumer’s assessment or opinion with which the company or business disagree meets the “clearly false or misleading” standard. A violation of the CRFA is considered as an unfair or deceptive act or practice.
