This applies to all landlords and they should NOT use the new license to deny a prospective tenant an apartment during the screening process. The amendment does not apply to smoke alarms that have been ordered by, in inventory of an owner, managing agent, Contractor, wholesaler, or retailer on or before 1st July 2014 until 1st July 2015.
